Six months have passed! Who knew time could fly so quickly?? Harper had her six month appointment yesterday. She now weighs 17 pounds, 4 ounces and measures 26 in length. What a growing girl!
Two front bottom teeth are now exposed and they are terribly cute. I am always trying to get Harper to open her mouth so I can peek at them. They are incredibly sharp little things! Also, her top two front teeth are on the verge of rearing their pearly white heads...Harper is now sitting up unassisted for the most part, and it is so cute to see her balancing and learning how to stay upright. She is quite good at catching herself, although I can't help but keep my hand right there for now. It just doesn't seem like she should be so grown up just yet!!
Harper is very busy and squirmy...She likes to steamroll her way across the floor and she has become quite good at moving at exceptional speeds. She also pivots on her belly in no time to grasp an item that she wants. She has a great deal of determination. She gets up on all fours and scoots backwards. The changing table has become quite the challenge. Harper wants to be on her belly during changing time, and will do anything to get that way, so getting her changed can take a considerable amount of time.
She has a new interest in any kind of phone, computer and remote control she can get her hands on. She's been Skyping from an early age, and loves to chat with people and see them "in" the computer.
She is still loving her dog June as well. Whenever June comes into sight, Harper grins like crazy and even laughs out loud! June was standing at the back door earlier, and Harper saw her out there and squealed with delight and laughed out loud. I asked Harper where June was yesterday and she turned and looked straight at her. Since then we have been practicing finding her June and she will look and look for her. It is adorable! She loves to pet June too. I am not sure what June thinks of all this just yet, but she will endure just about anything to be petted. Even if it is a tufts of fur grabbing, ear pulling, pterodactyl like sound producing tiny person.
Harper's new food this week has been bananas. She seems to like this first fruit. Who knows what next week will bring...The possibilities are endless. Maybe pears or apples?? Decisions, decisions!
While all this change and growth in Harper is fascinating and so much fun, every once in a while I just want to freeze time and keep this little baby the way she is. I know equally wonderful things are to come...It's just hard to believe things could get any better!! We love you baby girl!

too cute! i love the last picture-she looks so happy. glad to hear she and june get along well. i'm hoping it will work out that way for us as well : )
